Just for Today: I want all that life has to offer me and all that recovery can provide. Today, I will take a risk, try something new, and grow.
By being succesful, one day at a time, at recovery, I find that I have increased confidence in my ability to be successful in other areas of my life.
I've started a project to lay flooring in the crawl space over my garage. Not rocket science, but there are some tricky aspects to it. The important thing is that I never would have undertaken this project during my active addiction. Like most things that were new and required effort, I would have procrastinated, whined, gotten pissed off, and been defeated before I started.
I'm not that person anymore. Because of NA, and my higher power, I can calmly accomplish this task. I can over come the difficulties that may arise, and if need be, ask for help.
Today I will measure, cut, and lay a section of floor.

God grant me the serenity ......................have a blessed day!
