Hi Ya'll- New to this forum

Hey everyone! I am new to this forum. I have almost five months clean ( May 18th, 2009). I live in a little town in the middle of nowhere, and the nearest NA meeting is 60 miles away- and even then, they're not reliable on their meeting times. Anyway- I go when I can, and let God lead my life. I am really blessed to have found this site. I am currently on step 5, but have been having sponsor trouble. Both of them have gone back out- I guess I need to get on my knees and pray for God to put a sponsor in my life. I look forward to meeting everyone! God Bless!

Welcome, Kris! Congrats on your 5 months!!!

I'm from a small town, too, but we do have 1 NA meeting a week here... as well as a couple of AA meetings. I work the program of NA with an NA Sponsor, but I'll go to any meeting I can find... NA, AA, CA, Accent On Christ, Celebrate Recovery, Coda, Family Anonymous, whatever! I have to travel a lot to get to meetings, which gets expensive, but doesn't cost nearly as much as active addiction.

I'm really glad you're here!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I do go to an AA meeting everyother day, sometimes I go everyday. The way I look at it with my step work is that its not a race, its my life. My recovery depends on 24 hours at a time-I can't live in the past( don't want to), or in the future. I can only live in the here and now. My past is my best asset. Thanks everyone- Its so nice to have somewhere to go where people understand me.
