Mornin Tisa! hope this day finds you well... I am the "coffee maker" at my Monday night home group and enjoy getting to program early.setting up and meeting early comers to our 7:30 meeting.I have kept this committment for for almost 2 years.Sometimes its like an "act of God " to get my receipts rectified(using too much coffee, not enough coffee, too dark, too light ahhh just right!!)We are a "amazin bunch"like im "dealin the coffee ".Its still a blessing in disguise cause like I said I need to show up every Monday and I do.I believe that service involving saving someones life(H&I,SPONSORSHIP,ETC ) may rank a little more important on the scale(but I have seen lives saved by a good cup of coffee and some Windmill old fashioned cookies, including my own:)I also work in a facility for "people with disabilities"(right LEE)and some folks from our program also attend meetings and I am able to share with them and to be part of their lives, very important for me. gettin long now.peace have a blessed day!!!

I think living life on life's terms had me doing all sorts of service.
This includes group secretary, treasurer, group representative, area representative, area chairman, and Chairman of the World Wide Workshop on recovery and service. There has also been stints in Public Information, Reach Out Programs and Convention committee positions.
That saide, Ive also been involved in sponsorship, giving rides to meetings and back, talking with newcomers, sometimes given put free literature, meals etc.
Ive also played my saxophone, keyboards and sang at many Conventions and NA Events.
Im still doing PI co-ordinator for this sub-area this area as well Regional Committe member alternate for the area.
My sponsor wants me to look at literature review, so that's next perhaps.
Coming back to the questiion, I cannot give a specific answer, I seem to be one of those rare birds that has enjoyed all forms of service !
I believe that service is a power greater than myself and have benefitted immesnsely for those experiences !
The Steps and individual recovery keeps my world going round, but it is service in NA that has kept it spinning on it's axis !

What's your favorite form of service? Is one type more important than the rest?
Secret Service!!!
No, I'm not being a smart-alec... not at the moment anyways... I'm talking about the warm fuzzy feeling that you hold close to yourself when you've done some kindness for somebody, and they have absolutely no clue who did it!!!
I believe that any and all service is important... within the fellowship or not... the most important type of service is the kind that keeps us clean!

The fundamental delusion of humanity , is to suppose that I am here and you are out there .
When I was six months clean my first home group gave me the key to open the church where we had our Friday 8pm meeting. I learned showing up was the most important from of service I could do. Whether it was to show up to give someone a ride, open the door to a meeting, put out literature, go to area/region or just to be there for someone else. That for me is the most important service I can do, to give back what was so freely given to me. Hugs, Jackie
