You know I am new to talking to people and letting them know the real me. I went to this womens group and I talked to people and wasn't afraid to show them who i was. It was a freeing moment. I can't speak for all women but I can say that I had a hard time being around women and talking to them and dealing with them. I am so blessed to be able to let go of those issues and do it today. I suggest any women or men find a group and embrass your fellow addict and let your walls down and start to love. I did and it freed me.
Right on Annie yeah I agree same sex meetings should be mandatory I miss my mens stag meeting and need to get my but to another one I know about but its on saturdays and I am usually busy working or playing but some weekend soon I will get to it.
Hey Annie1331! I have a home group"NEW DAZE" and it is a great group but where I get most help is in my Saturday group 'MEN DO RECOVER'.Man it gets right to the point in there dealing with mens issues that I would not want to discuss in mixed meetings..Sometimes even my ears get red!!!!What a blessing to "really get into the depths" of whats in a lot of us but we just can;t get out!!! Good deal guys. I am glad to hear that you get a lot out of mens groups as well. I love to see my fellow man come together and be real with one another about their feelings and life in general. Don't get me wrong I love the regular meetings too, but it's just not the same. Hey Mikef if you win let me know good luck!
Honey I know exactly what you mean about being able to get more out and be more open in a womens group. I loved it so much I am trying to bring my friend who is in denial about having a problem. I think she could benefit from it but like I tell her when she is ready. I am just going to keep telling her all the wonderful things that it is doing for me.
