coffeecup.gif I love a CD by William Ackerman, called Conferring with the Moon. It is exquisitly relaxing, soothing, uplifting, spiritual, really great music, blasted or on low, either way...what I call "sober sounds". For me, I had to change some of my music, TV shows, books etc along with leaving certain people & places behind as I surrounded myself with what I called "flip side" addicts.

I made those changes for two reasons: 1. Because some of it was pretty toxic and dragged me down rather than lifting me up; and 2. because the habitual favorites were pretty intense triggers for me. I also had to stop cursing, which was very hard and took a long time. I really laugh inside today when someone says f*** or s***around me and then apologizes because they assume I'm a prude! If they only knew!

But I had to make those changes in order to emerge a changed person. The same person was gonna just keep using and eventually die that way. A band called Jars of Clay is good, too.

Whatsoever I've feared has come to life
And Whatsoever I've fought off became my life
Just when everyday seemed to greet me with a smile
Sunspots have faded
Now I'm doing time
Now I'm doing time
Cause I fell on black days
I fell on Black days

Whomsoever I've cured I've sickened now
Whomsoever I've cradled I've put you down
I'm a search light soul they say
But I can't see it in the night
I'm only faking when I get it right
When I get it right
Cause I fell on black days
I fell on Black days
How would I know
That this could be my fate
How would I know
That this could be my fate

So what you wanted to see good has made you blind
And what you wanted to be yours has made it mine
So don't you lock up something that you wanted to see fly
Hands are for shaking
No, not tying
No, not tying

I sure don't mind a change
I sure don't mind a change
Yeah, I said sure dont mind, I sure dont mind the change
I sure dont mind the change
Cos I fell on black days
I fell on black days
How would I know
That this could be my fate

Hey sweetie!! I love The Cranberries and the Beatles.... I like all kinds of music too.
Right now my fave album to listen to is Aly and Aj Insomniatic. it's kinda pop music but the songs are soooo good.
