This morning I was crazy with tying to finish off an asignment.
HP works thru the tutors here and this assignemnet will be marked by a very learned tutor,,with many books to her credit. She guided me thru with patience. However there iwas,, feeling doubtful like,,thinking,,, "is this for real,,so much guidance,,f"£$% wish Id though of this before,,Id have got many more marks in the other assignments ".
This morning I found out oi missed doing a very importanat part of that assignment and tried to hurry up with it,,leaving me stressed !! Well now its done and given in and Im looking forward to 20 days of Easter holidays and doing more hard core study and some hard core meetings and service,,and hopefully some music too..
It's a wonderful world,,this day we had folks come out for the sun in the streets,, The sun goes down after 9 in the nite !!!
Sigh,,,,, to be holding a godd woman now,,,,hopefully like it says in the Text,, DREAMS DO COME TRUE IN RECOVERY !!!
Nice pic-you look happy in sobriety. Isn't this a wonderful site? As another NA loner, I am so glad to have so much "fellowship" come right out of my monitor! Have a great spring break.

Hi Blithe ,, No im not going home cause I did prmoise my tutor Id finish the literature review for my dissertation by April end. 15000 words of them,,with 5000 in the literature review !!! So im staying,reading and writng,doing as many NA meetings here as I can, and hopefully some travels within Yorkshire.
My baby was quite understanding that papa will vist only later,,in about two months time. I talk with her on the phone each day without fail. I had a few misgivings but one day she says on the phone "Dad,youre an inspiration to me". That set me at peace !
That day when I took that snap, id just after eased Kitty (a cat thats adopted me) from her spot in the sun. The sun was up that day,,shining down and making folks here happy. Id just fed Kitty and she went near that wall and doing some sunbathing. I went there,,took a snap of her for my daughter to see,,a the I eased her out of there and sat and Meditated with eyes closed for about 20 minutes. I had left the house door open,,and when I went in i see Kitty is on the sofa and she has been Meditationg too,, she was very still and she seemed to be looking at something that wasnt there ! Just showed me that these cats are very spiritual,psychic creatures.
Thanks for the compliment Lee,,helps to know that you are being helped by doing these MIP meetings. Ive been in this Forum for almost 5 years now and all Ive got is Goodness !!

I remember how STRESSED I was and got a tutor to help me on my math before taking my contractors state license exam, come to find out there was very little math on the test LOL but I wasn't going to take a chance at failing after all my hard work prepping for the exam and I did pass the first round so every bit helps brother.

Thanks Dean,Ive always had your support,Im greatful for that. Two things I want to share here,,,, a survey by NAWS indicates that more and more recovering addicts in NA are seeking college education. And this has lead to improvemet in quality fo life.
As of now,,Im having a dream run,balancing college with NA meetings and Fellowship,, but behind all of that I cant help thinking " Doing life on life's terms and living and loving the NA way is the real education".
No ,matter what else I think,,I know that none of this will be possible without staying clean and serenen in the 12 Step Tradition and that primarily involves addicts like you helping me kind acts of empathy.
God Bless you Dean,,I know that this Program is meant to make dreams come true !!
So make you choice right now,ha,ha,ha,,, retirement or lottery !!!!

Thanks Raman, I hardly ever play the lottery (doesn't make much sense now what I said) and retirement is significantly setback due to our global recession. I once had a plan (now a dream) of retiring at 55, now I'll be lucky to do it at 65 unless we significantly down size our expectations of retirement. Ah but these are "high bottom" problems and the gratitude is the daily reprieve, love, and the basic needs being met. All the rest is optional and subject to change.
I have been to this place two times in my hoildays.. Great spot to sit and Meditate on the setting sun,,but theres more to it.; theres some fab woods down there to walk in but most interesting of all is the story of "springheel" Jack. And you know what ? Jack is a ghost. So,if you want to hear about this ghost,,read on.
Well,about 150 years or so ago there was an outbreak of cholera in Sheffield and many died. They cremated these bodies on this siute and few years later erected a memorial. The legend goes that one of em that died came back as a ghost,, a very mischievous one at that. "Springheel " Jack got that name because he could jump high walls,over peoples head etc.
They say that once when many people got tired of his antics and wanted to catch him, they did surround him,nigh on 150 of them but know what he did ? He took one hop,,then a step and a jump and ran right over the crowd,,on their heads !!! He kept up his mischief and hauntings for many years and then suddenly disappeared.
Old wives reckoned that he had just one wish as he died, to die at later age after enjoying life. So he came back as a ghost and presumably the appearances were his way of enjoying life. And when his deeds were done and he was tired,he laid himself to eternal rest.
But the story dosent end there; we hear tell of some visitors to the park ,,especially the late night lovers, complaining of a very strange looking old man peep at them from behind the trees and when challenged just disappeared. Many of them say it's old Jack returned to make more mischief. The local council steps into the act and do their bit,,but to no avail . citizens groups have been formed,albeit in vain. Local authority does not want to lose this valuable attraction to some ghsot. So the search still cariies on,,,,for that elusive character called "Springheel "Jack. There are rewards on offer for information,,but those offers dont say "WANTED !!!! DEAD OR ALIVE !!!!" hahahahaha !!
