3/27/09: Good for me! I havent given it a thought in almost a week. I am disappointed, tho, that I cant pick up my medallion this weekend, LOL. (My homegroup is Sat AM and sobriety date falls on Monday the 6th.) Oh well, perfect lesson in keeping it in today!
I was going through some old notes and such on addiction, going back 30 years. AMAZING how much we know about this disease (for want of a better term) and yet how little all that knowledge and research trickles down to the addict and alcoholic who still suffers. Even the best treatment approaches, the best medical supports, cannot come close to working the miracle that the sum of these steps does.
Today is my daughters birthdayshes 35, (going on 21!). I miss her terribly. We were estranged for years and shes still not real communicative, but at least she speaks to me, loves me, has forgiven me, and lets me in a little more each year. I am so grateful for the healing that has taken place, and hopeful for more to come. L8TR

hey Raman, you are so very sweet!! Thank you...but guess what...you'll have to do it all over again on April 6...THAT's my sobriety date!! LOL The 27th was my daughter's birthday! 2 funny. I've been posting about trying NOT to project, and it looks like I even hooked others in, 'cuz quite a few have congratulated me "before the fact". Must be a lesson in here somewhere! Thanks again for the celebration...made my day, and cheered me up...I was a bit down, but not anymore.

ha,ha,ha !! will do again Lee. This agin proves that I sometimes skip reading whats on the screen simply to avoid eye ache that I get when I look long hours at the screen. Yesterday was one such as I sat trying to do my assignment !! Anyways,,looks like a good practice for the real thing eh Lee ??
