Hello NA....I was 21 years clean yesterday. I only discovered this site yesterday as well so they can't tell us drug use doesn't affect brain function.. From memory was about 18 months before I could read a street directory.Didn't sleep properly for 9 months or so. Still remember my first good sleep...........ah heaven. Been practisng ever since. I'm in Australia...Brisbane. Got clean here..Detox rehab meetings.....1-2-3 Is life better? Is it all worth it? Talk to an older member...Never met one who wanted to go back. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. I'm not expecting anything. (I don't expect anything) My using was all about being very small...restricted...constrained... today I feel global, and I just wanted to share it with the world. Last meeting was 2 nights ago..Do you think that's the key? Mike L.
Right ON Michael and thanks for sharing your experience, we have a lot of new people here that need that hope I am coming up on 3 years OH MAN WHAT A BLESSING we need to support those who still struggle please please keep coming back.
