greetings from a windchill of -47 today...yikes and i still managed to make it to school :)
i am having a cake and will graciously accept my 2 year medallion tonight
i know that for me at 2 years now i must really get into the "work" of the program not that i haven't already but i must be vigilant and steadfast, not become complacent and/or think i have arrived or am getting closer to graduating from this program.
my sponsor and I have concluded that in order for me to do my step 4 to the best of my ability today i will sit down with her to do it, as i don't seem to be getting it done on my own and otherwise seem to be slipping away from her. (No excuse that i am too busy...)
so a fellow member sent me a text this morning to remind me to think of a topic for tonights meeting. Of course gratitude comes to mind, but i would also like some suggestions from you. We get alot of newcomers to our monday night as we have a cetox center here and people come to it from all over canada.
So this birthday celebration is for them to show then that the program works :)
i will get back to school now but will check back later today for your suggestions
Dear Wendy, so good to hear from you, congratulations on the 2-Years Medallion, look forward to hear how the celebration went... best wishes on your 4th Step efforts, lucky you have a Sponsor who is ready to sit with you during your inventory writing

You said this:"my sponsor and I have concluded that in order for me to do my step 4 to the best of my ability today i will sit down with her to do it, as i don't seem to be getting it done on my own and otherwise seem to be slipping away from her. (No excuse that i am too busy...)"
I'd suggest willingness as a topic, being willing to go to any lengths.
Congratulations on your 2 years. Time to double down.
thanks guys the celebration was awesome and we got to combine it with a fellow celebrating 7 years :) i chose the topic Solutions, with,
the line the popped out at me last night from our readings,
"personal recovery depends on NA Unity"
this for me today is part of my solution because with out you , my HP, my sponsor, the liturature, the daily meditations...i wouldn't be here, clean , sober and living life on life's terms, with a smile on :)
For my one year i asked a newer member to give me my medallion, she mentioned it last night about what an impact on her that was, i told her that i choose her because i wanted her to get one, She since has gotten her one year! yeah!!!
I live in a smaller city, we have 2 NA groups that meet once a week and third just getting started, our UNITY is of the utmost importance for us to survive. Our key goes around in the basket with the statement "if no one takes the key for next week, we don't open"
bd87na (as i don't know your name) thanks for your comment about doubling down, i am praying 'doubly' for much willingness, i will post in another thread more about my step 4 stuff.
well off to class now , have a wonderful, clean, HP guided day, and i'll take one myself :)
welll.... going to school full time, working 3-4 nights a week, my daughter comes to visit every second weekend, meetings every chance i get between and betwixed all of that, meeting with my sponsor today at lunch who is moving to the states as soon as she sells her house.. breathing in, and breathing out and not using in between :) thanks for asking :)
WENDY CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE A MIRACLE IN PROGRESS.
So proud of you girl I was just thinking about you a few days ago and know your a busy girl
2 years, WOW never would have thought it could be done Huh ? well it took what it took and God Blessed you with another chance, just like me and others here we need to keep what we have and give it away. I am about to embark on a chance to give it away to a friend who has been struggling for a long time now, once again he is at a cross road I hope he understands that this isn't that tough that it gets better in time, that is so so much better then what we had been living and its worth every painful moment LOL.

how are you doing Dean???
that's quite a lot of stuff there. I'm just climbing out of this post holiday funk. Nothing serious, just the blahs. Feeling good with a week off and some nice weather.
