Hello my friends and Fellows , I thank you for having been ther a of last year as you were for four years before that too. This day I touch another miletone in my recovery,,clean and serene, with complete and continous abstinenec, and msot importanat for me,in tne NA WAY for 21 years. Life is a balnced one,,many good things like support of my mother, daughter, girlfriend while i study here in England. Negatives like its very expensive here,,both the study course as well as the cost of living. And more importantly im having to contend with confusion and frustration with my studies. Im not sure why,,but I cannot be at ease,, whether writing assignments,or being with classmates. I fee lonely and stressed.in this regard. that is why the Fellowship has proved most importanat to me,,, I once again am reminded to put my recovery firt and all esle later,, yes there is hope,, WE DO RECOVER,,,,JUST FOR TODAY. hugs and bless yall, stay Blessed.,,keep coming back !!

Wow Raman, 21 years . If I get 21 years clean Im going to be ...About 105 years old. Maybe not that old ,but Ill be old . More important to me than your clean time is the clean time AND recovery time you have helped to give me. For that I am forever in your debt.
Happy 21st Raman Hugs Anthony

Thanks Dean,Anthony,Dan and Vini,, And life still goes on !! Thanks Dan,,Im greatful that more than ever I realize the wisdom of those that had then told me keep my recovery first,no matter what and remember I am still a recovering addict !! Im greatful for being reminded by you wonderful guys too. Ha,ha,ha Vin,,,by Gods Grace teaching may become a good side "business". The actual teaching, then researching in more effective teaching methods, especially in Event management and looking at the larger phiolsophies that underpin these things may be a great addition to my professional pursuits. Thanks for your always sage advice Dean,, i judge that as a very responsible attitude,,to be concerned about the welfare of pother recovering addicts and offering sugestions without fear of rejection. I believe thats the begining of the end of self centeredness. your sugestions have stood me in good stead, though now I am in a sweat with the writing parts of the assignments. Time namagement and leading teams have worked wonders, Thanks Anthony,,Ive always found your cheerful attitude uplifting. Im doing a few meetings each week her and am also trying to be involved informally in service. In each situation I tryb and rememeber my sponsors sugestion to be visible, but humble. The second suggestion,,being humble is dificult for a die hard debater-addict like me. "We dont give up without another struggle and surrender."Basic Text. Im in a very interesting situation here ,,, the studies I am trying to finish is a very academic thing. Thats so different from what we share in meetings and our focus in recovery. In NA "we","I", "us" is the order of things whereas in the academic writing its all about "he said", and "she said" etc,,, but more so in the impersonal context. Its not like th teachers, lecturers are saying" I did this and it worked so it may work for you" So we ned to quote, refer and cite in writing. Quoting from established academic sources is a fundamental skill. I had to,,and am still having to develop that into a fine art . And on a deeper level,,i sometimes wonder if it was the" he said and "she said" and the "they think" that gave the british the power to stay 300 years in India. Luckily for me our Program asks me to share what did or did not work for me,,land learn from what has or hasnt worked for others. Thank God that the sharing, caring, wrioting, reading and Praying and Meditating and Service is all focussed on my favourite subject= ME,,, ha ha ha !!!

"Time takes time" I heard that listening to a tape the other day the guy had 27 years clean.
What we are doing takes great patience, we have to be patient with all of the things we go through I am begining to understand this better .
Most of us have tendency's to run and hide, to give up before the miracle , to escape what we are feeling. We allow negativity to rule our actions, we think little of ourselves and often feel like failures, we blame and we live in denial , we also most often refuse to take responsibilty for ourselves.
All that pretty much describes this addict but you know what ? I TRY to be patient and get through it and to grow spiritually and emotionally.
Thanks Raman for showing us how it's done, one day at a time, you too Blithe
Thank you my dear NA Sister Blithe Spirit... I wish you would share more,,Ive always found your quiet, unassuming shares very gratifying !!! So please,,,,,
