I have to be outpatient. I have no health insurance. What should I say during Maryland Health Dept assessnment? Should I take the normal 80-200mgs of oc and/or 20-30mgs methadone or should I go in feeling really bad? Please reply asap. I have to go friday morning.
Hi, Ryan, and welcome. Glad you found us. I have no experience with the drugs you mention, nor with the MD Health Dept, but I have some experience with the process of recovery. Narcotics Anonymous is a program of recovery that requires total honesty, and it's never too soon to begin practicing these principles. Being dishonest only gives my disease an advantage over me and usually requires me to be additionally dishonest in the future. On the other hand, being honest frees me to begin the process of recovery. Surrender is the key, Trust is all that is required. My Higher Power can and WILL begin to work in my life when I surrender and trust Him to care for me and do for me what I can't do for myself. Good Luck, Whatever you decide, you are always welcome here.

Not for me to say one way or the other Ryan. But since you asked.
Think of it like this. Your cars broke Its sputtering and smoking. You take it to the shop and tell your mechanic that its running fine. That you think the tires might be bad. You haven't given your mechanic the proper information to properly fix your car. You see where I'm going ?
The assessors in your case are only human, they need the proper information in order to make decisions on what is right for you. I'm the worlds worst when it comes to Dr's. If I'm in pain to the point I even call a Dr. As soon as he walks in I'm fine. Then i leave angry and hurt because this brilliant Dr didn't help me.
Honesty is your best bet, and the best hope we all have.
