The biggest lasson that I have learned over this past month, was that I was absolutely powerless over people, places, and things.
27 days ago, I made a choice. I chose not to pick up that day. The next day I made another choice. Again I chose for the second day not to pick up. That choice is one that I have made every morning for the past month.
The process of making that choice has taught me a very important lesson. I have absolutley no power over all of these things in my life..... But I do have a power. I have the power to CHOOSE..
So, I took a couple of baby steaps up the path and i realized something. If I can choose not to use....I can choose a lot of other things too.
I can choose to surround myself with positive uplifting people.
I can choose to love. I can choose to laugh. I can choose to grow. I can choose to cry. I can choose to let go.
When people are not loving, or uplifting, I have no power in that.....BUT. I can choose to let them go.
In my past experiances, when people were hurtful, I would stick around to see if it got better. I did not know that I had a choice.
I feel so empowered to day.
In the begining, all it takes is one little choice to start to break the chains.
When all of the chains have broken, I will be truly free.
......I AM going to soar yet.

great post kath i just now read it and was reminded of my choices to stay clean and serene one day one minute at a time i can make these choices a lot easier thes days i have a clear head today i have a open heart today and i have my NA family today what a great thing that is because i made the right choices god bless and watch over you in ytour daily walk in the light bret
