Thanks for posting this Anthony. It reminds me to ask a question of some of our old timers. Looking on the literature (books, pamphlets, etc.) I see several NA symbols and registered trademarks. There is the anonymous diamond in a circle, the stlylized NA in a double circle, and also the initials "NA" in the concentric circles with 4 compass points. Nowhere in all our literature can I find the emblem that is on this book- the stylized initials "NA" inside the diamond inside the circle. Anyone have an explanation? Is this NA symbol no longer used or copyrighted? I've seen it around other places, mostly on a very old white booklet and a never published pamphlet called "Pathways to recovery." Just curious and wondered if anybody had any information. By the way Anthony, that is probably a bargain! A red book that was given to Greg P. by Jimmy K. from the first box opened from the printer (and was never numbered) recently sold on ebay for $6600,00, so I read. Retirement investment, anyone?

I'd rather buy a couple of 70's electric guitars. pretty cool. I hope that someone eventually gets those artifacts into a museum. 3 weeks ago I went to Canton Ohio for the Hall of Fame induction of Art Monk and Darrell Green (I'm a Redskins fan from like 1965). While I was there I met up with a member of the MIP AA board, who lives in Akron. She picked me up from the airport and her and her sponsor took me out to lunch and to Dr. Bob's (Co-founder AA) house museum. Then to the Akron intergroup/museum (first AA intergroup office) and several other places, to The mayflower hotel where Bill Wilson stayed during the fateful trip where he met Dr. Bob and Dr. Bob's grave. It was amazing and I was tingling with awe and gratitude the whole day, for the opportunity to witness the humble beginnings of what eventually saved my life. Didn't mean to digress, I guess I'm hoping that NA will eventually have a place like this where these important things can be kept and shared.
your right dean, i cant understand why the WSO or someone dosent scoop this stuff up. more and more of it is getting posted as jimmy ks library is cleaned out. i dont blame you about the guitars. i have to admitt i spend more time on action sites looking at vintage guitars than i do looking for vintage NA history. Why would it make me sad to see these things go ? Life just goes on. BTW theres a taylor t5 that ends in 30 minutes , looks like its gonna be a steal..i gotta gooooooooo. And dan, dude you know entirely to much history for me to feel anything other than inferior. i sure am glad your on my team...yall have a great day.
