I want to be a part of the solution. I need to focus on happy "sobriety"....I've read lots of great affirmations and I need to hear them again in different words....

Has anyone told you today that they love you?

I'm hungry for a hug....does someone have a favorite phrase that perks them up?

I can't do this for myself well just yet. Even if just repeating someone else's affirmation or phrase, I need fresh love .... please throw it out there for me.

Oh, perfect, HoneyBear....I love new sayings!!  And whoa, no kidding, better to be "being" than the torture of "getting" clean (like having a tooth pulled w/no pain med)  Perked right up.  I get stale easily.  So I keep comin back  wink

Something that's been a part of my life since I started all this is an idex card that I hang over my calendar every year/month that reads:

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, or sun without rain. He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way. The depth of my despair today can be the height of my joys tomorrow, if I don't use over it today.

A few other favorites of mine:

Unity begins with U-N-I, if one of us is missing, both of us will die.

For everything there is either a spiritual reward or a spiritual price.

There is no bad thing that drugs can't make worse, and no good thing that my Higher Power can't make better.

Sorrow looks back. Worry looks around. But faith looks up.

Religion is for those who are trying to avoid Hell. Spirituality is for those who've been to Hell and returned.

My head would kill me if it didn't need me for transportation.

When I'm alone, I'm with the last person I used with.

We are all sick...fortunately, not all on the same day!

I try to take one day at time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

FEAR - Forgetting Everything's All Right

And my personal favorite: The addict's Serenity Prayer ~

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
The Courage to change those things I cannot accept,
and the wisdom to know where to hide all the bodies of the people that pissed me off today~!
