An Intro to my fellow addicts!~

Hello family! I just stumbled onto this board and have read alot!  Although I am not "new" to NA been introduced in 1983.....I put 8 years together and decided I needed more pain!

I moved out of my original state (NJ) got married and today I celebrate 6 months and 8 days!  I am here to tell you recovery is alive and well in OHIO!

I am wondering where all you are from.  When I had those 8 years I still did it my way!  I never worked the steps  got a sponsor or anything.  No wonder I had a big black hole in the middle of my soul and I was miserable!

Today I have a sponsor,  and throughly working the steps from the HOW and WHY work book,.  Attend at least 3 meetings a week and I am celbrating my one year wedding Aniversary!  LIFE TODAY is bliss.

I look forward from hearing from you!

Hi everyone Thank you for writing back to me!

I live in DELAWARE COUNTY. I am a GSR for my homegroup HOW AND WHY on Thursday night here!

I heard of the TAR HOLLOW thing but you have to realize I am a FORMER JERSEY girl and these wooded outside things kind of scare me....

BEARS....Bats.....Oh my!~ I know there are alot of long letters COS >>>>>>but I really dont understand actually what area I am in...do I sound stupid or what? I live about 20 miles NORTH of Columbus...

Wouldnt it be cool if we already know each other?

I wish I was!  I love moving to new places.  Every time I meet/listen to a new member, I swear to God I feel like I've known them for years.  Please pardon me, I'm an Absurdist.  A shape-changer.  It keeps me happy most of the time to try on new things....religion, race, saint, slave, president, etc.  Please pardon me, but I'm Christian....if I cannot love a certain person, I cannot love Christ.  So I embrace it all, and I embrace you.

You're probably in COASCNA - Central Ohio Area Service Committee of Narcotics Anonymous...LOL. I'm about an hour north of you.

There aren't any bears or bats at Tar Hollow...just a large pond/reservoir, a bunch of trees, good food and a bunch of crazy addicts. You should give it try...recovery is about trying new stuff right? There's something about being outside and seeing so many stars in one place - it'll blow your mind.

The first year I went after the speaker meeting we had to go outside because the circle was so large, we're all starting to get formed and I just started looking up because the stars were so plentiful...the moment we started saying the Serenity Prayer, there was this huge falling star that streaked across the sky...I try my best to look up when we pray in a circle, since I've looked down long enough in my life...anyways, it was spectacular~!

I just showed my husband those beautiful pics! He said in Oct its probally 20 degrees, in the morning!

I would rather go camping in the fall vs. Summer.

I geuss Im spoiled with the AC!~ I would rather be cold and wear like 3 sweatshirts than hot and swiping those mosicutios! LOL

I think we will go and I do hope I can meet you too!~

At a meeting tonight I am going to tell everyone they should come and check this board out!

Cant believe I met fellow addicts from all OVER THIS BIG beautiful world!~

Not quite 20, but it's definately between 35-40 degrees.
