Alcohol

I feel that I am done with the drugs- at least I have decided that they are a problem.  But, as the weekend approaches, I think about my wine drinking.  Do I have to give that up too?  This is just a question I'm putting out there because I am posing it to myself.

Alcohol is a drug, this is all for you to decide, if its a problem you have to decide that.

Codependent, If drugs are becoming a problem for you, It's likely that using alcohol could lead to poor decision making and back to drugs. That's what happened to me on many many occasions. The million dollar question that someone in our possition should ask is "why do I need mood altering substances to feel comfortable in my own skin?"

We can not afford to be confused by this. Alcohol is a drug, and as an addict whenever we substitute one drug for another we release our addiction all over again.

The addict inside of us wants us dead but will settle for us drunk/stoned. I surrender to my addiction daily remind myself that there is NO relief/pleasure in that terrible bad habit...
