MAN WHAT A DAY but i'm alive and home

I just smashed the bottom side of my truck today prospecting and it cost me over $500 to get a tow truck to come way back there and pull me out it was F'd up what I did to put it mildly,  they charged me $175 per hour and it was 3 hours total but I had no choice I would have had to leave my truck full of gear and my dredge in the back and found someone to pull me out and it took a 4x4 tow to get me out.

I just about just pushed the truck over and into the river i have  full coverage but all that stuff in the back of the truck would have gone with it thats not covered.

Any how thats not how I live today I needed to learn a lesson and you know I haven't even gotten really upset about it yet LOL it just is thats life I caused it and have to take responsibilty for my actions.

We dredge for a few hours probably didnt get much gold the boys I took up with me swam and had the time of there life spear fishing with home made spears they made and almost got some fish, I hung out with a good friend and we talked and dredged and hung out so all and all it wasn't a complete wash out, but this really hurt me financially thats the down side the upside is all are well, the trucks home and theres something I got from all of this that I will have to take a close look at later and I held it together without going completely bersurk. I will post a few pictures later when I get them from my buddy of the truck and me crying LOL

HAve a GREAt weekend everyone.

Wow! You have the wisdom to see the bigger picture and not take life too seriously. Remember when that would have been the PERFECT excuse to use? NO MORE! WE ARE CLEAN. And that is why you can laugh and see that in life there are lessons if we only have the sobriety, the clarity, the wisdom to see the bigger picture. It looks like you really get...IT!  As for me, I still have "pockets" of clarity, glimpses of wisdom...but after only 46 days, at least I know that each will bring me closer to what you have. I am happy for you and  hopeful for me. Hope everything goes ok with the truck!

Hi Vinnie, if you aren't F'n up then you are doing anything. How are you doing otherwise?

Ken LOL doing reeeeeal good here (NOT) :)
Naw it's ok I am greatful for many things just from this one event, one of the boys who went with me nearly got hit with a quite large rock while my tires were spinning , that could have been devastating so all n all it went well.

Hey oxy these days I TRY to find the good rather then the bad and wrong in things, yes its an alternate way to think then I am used to doing but its a way that keeps peace in my heart and mind , peace inside and outside is what i'm after then theres no reason or excuse to use, lifes good and meaningful.

I want to sound like a saint here this all takes WORK I have to keep my mind off the negative and fear that runs threw my blood. I could actually at one point feel myself wanting to feed on everything that was going wrong, my buddy kinds stopped me and told me to quit whining LOL, I need tough love like that its often the only thing that gets threw my thick skull.

Good to see you and hear you are doing well thats good man, oxy 46 days one day at a time and keep coming back congratulations you have a good roll going just keep it and hold on the ride gets bumpy ( especially if you ride with me ) but you can do it , If I can any any anyone can :)

Good share Vin,,
i screwed up the dial of a costly watch the other day.
Watch repair and maintainance has been a gift of ecovery after i stopped smoking.
Im very good at it now,, but losses do happen.
Like the otherday when i messed up the dial of a Rolex i was setting right.
I had no business hurrying things up,,,I did and the result was waste of money and loss of self esteem.
Thank God i didnt get mad at myself.
But i did get into a scrap over this later when I blamed MA for my feelings.
Lucky i stopped ,,,, the i was again lucky to get a replacement dial that diddnt cost too much..
LIVE AND LEARN says my babe,,, how damn true at times !!
But I never want to do that stupid thing again..Just for today at least !

Hey BigV,  sounds like a lot of fun.  Do yourself a favor and get a AAA Plus membership.  I comes with 100 miles of free towing,  and something like 2 hours of offroad work to get you out of tight spots, lock smith services (lost keys), someone will bring you a couple of gallons of gas free!....  I've had mine for 25 years and hardly a year goes by that I don't need it.    Maybe it's time to get the 4 wheeler and a little trailer to pull behind to get to those tough spots smile.gif

Yeah AAA doesn't have off road service if its a dirt road though Dean so I was stuck , I just called them to confirm that .

Yeah I just made an error in judgement it happens accepting it takes the weight of guilt off my shoulder I have also decided that for doing this I need to pay it back to my credit card before going prospecting again and will be working a few weekends to pay that much back. Good thing is I can right this off next year on my income tax biggrin

Raman interesting thing working on watchs and especially rolex they are quite expensive I just bought a very old watch over 100 years old and it keeps really good time will take a pic and post later I also have pics of the truck stuck will post later.
