I drove down 200 miles to a coastal town for their 1 ywar anniversary of NA. Im glad I went,, I was there last year too. This year there were 5 members and last year there was only one. There were also five of us from out of town. The look of joy on one mothers face as her son shared about his recovery was gratification of the Highest Order. This year we had about 60 folks in that morning meeting . Addicts,,AAs,family. and my sponsee took this chance to cut his second year cake,, Though not form that town he said he felt more warmth and gratitude for that fledgling Fellowship than for here in his own hometown. so I say,,, home is where the heart is. I got to chair that meeting and felt important as also greatful for being visible in the meeting. We had lots of sharings in that meeting and also in the meetings after meetings for two whole days. We hit paydirt with a 15 minute set on a radio talk show. Im amazed how on review afterwards everything seemed to have come out right. We had a very understanding host and she had some gerat questions for us. As for our part,, we kept as close to the Principles as we could and stayed away from projecting our personalities. What a little reading and briefing can do before the show. All in all,, a great weekend. I sure can do with many more like that. We now wait

yeah,,, thanks Dean and Anthony. Like it sys in the Text= "the fruits of a labour of love lie in the harvest and that shall come in its own time" For that same area we did try and do it "officially"through ASc and all. Nothing happens. Then the Miracle happens when an addict goes there and meets that one recovering addict there and they decide to do it,, the heart beat of NA ,,one addict helping another !! That works better than trying to look good according to Traditions. Now ,,I had a call from another addict there,,Ive given numbers and hopefully he will be a part of the Fellowship there ! Im glad that lethargy and procrastination disguised as "do things according to Traditions" didnt interfere,, tho by God did they try ! But ry as they may,, they couldnt stop an idea whos time had come !! The Miracle happens again !

devil in disguise more like it,,, hahaha,,, howdy Vin,, i know that these things are entirely unpredictable with regard to outcome. Do your best and leave the rest to God I heard tell once,,,, me an outcome oriented addict,,,by God have I changed. Im willing to do the legwork and let go of the fruit. I am only entitled to the action,,, the fruits are entirely Gods will to do as God pleases. I am only a trusted servant,, I shall not govern or be outcome oriented. Just for today after getting my won house in order,, I willdo just one small thing in service to NA. Even the smallest of things can make a big differance. Bless yall.
