sometimes life gets weird  when I least xpect it,,
take last weekend .
I was enjoying the Area Convention.
Thne that vening i was to play at a show 100miles away and then get to hill station 150 miles  form thatb show and thenn return and be ther for tecountdown on the last dy of the Convention.
So that 2nd day of the Convention I chaired the morn session that was truly wonderful because of the sharings and energy from the audience,,, then  talked one on one with an  old friend,,,,,had lunch and left feeling tired but good otherwise.
I was on the road and it happens suddenly=
an intense burning in my somach atha gets so bad i cant even drive,so i stop at a cafe on the highway and use their toilet a lot.
In the meanwhile the people at the show where iwas featured begin to panic,,good thing i reached there,did  a great show,, took my money and moved on.
Along the way to the hill station my recovering addict friend and guitarat asks me to stop and check it out at a hospital at 3 in the nite,, i did so.
the doctor says i have urinary tract infection due to infection most probably from an eatable.
and then after a dose of antibiotic he wants to give me a shot of painkiller and i refuse,,im amazed how he said that was ok and he understood my allergy.
after a bit of rest we go on,,,the pain comes down and the morn looks good,,, but it happens again just as Im about to start my music,,  heavy discomfort.intense burning in the urinary tract....
i somehow complete that wedding show,, and get much applause but im wishing i was feeling well to enjoy the moment. ..
we take rest in a hotel and im hoping later in the early evening ill be able to take that 1 and a half hour drive to the Countdown.
I take aspirin for the fever and the antbiotic and get a very disturbed sleep.
then i get up to see its 12 at nite,,
"OH !@#$,,,  IVE MISSED THE COUNTDOWN" I thought.
then my mood changes and im angry with my friend for being a bloody discourager,,,,
anyways we carry on.
We have about 300 miiles to the next show on Sunday evening so we move on.
A spot of dinner and careful driving,,, but im getting very irritated with my friend for incessant chatter and discussion of irrelevant topics.
Thn the evil happens,,,
We overtake a heavily laden truck and as we get in fron of it, a devil car comes along at very high speed round the slight bend.
I swerve and miss a near headon,, then the b!@#$%^ hits my rear right wheel and puts my Bolero on a spin,,, i m terrified but am able to control the jeep back to a standstill without hitting anything.
we hear loud crashing sounds,,, i look and cannot believe it=
the car has hit the rear wheel of the truck and has completely removed his rear axle itself.
As for the car,its completely smashed.
Im in a shock,, the i see people gathering aroung the car,swearing at the reckless driver and say hes completely drunk.
its 3 in the morn.
Cops,public,cranes remove the car off the road after the driver and 4 passengers are removed unconcious.
I curse my friend for being a distractive passenger ,, i want to smash him,, then i let it go,,,
3rd Step Prayer.
Its his 2nd recovery anniversary that day,,i take him along for the shows and he has been hellpful by and large,, and moreover he claims me as his sponsor.
My thoughts are now to move on somehow and complete that show 250 miles away.
We have to take a taxi,im very upset and sleep a lot,, then assertively tell my pal what i think.
The bright part is i do that show,, its a wedding,lots of applause and appreciation and get back home sfafe,, clean and serene !! 
im still not certain why that acident happened, was i overspeeding ?
should I have abstained from overtaking that lorry ?
should i have been generally more easygoing ?
God Know but all an sundry tell e it was nt my fault,clearly it was the taxi car drivers drunkeness hat caused it,, and the say that if he had not hit my vehicle first,hed have crashed straight into he truck and most probably ended his and four other youngsters lives,,,,,
my findest hope is that i will never in my life again be in that situation again !!!
