I am not sure that I belong here....


But I need some advice from you guys.

My father in law is an addict.  His addictions have changed over the years, but currently he is addicted to prescription pain killers, mostly opiate based things (I think).

Anyway, he checked into rehab a few days ago. 

I am here becuase I am looking for help for my husband.  My husband is suffering over his father's issues, and I am powerless to help him.  I don't know what to do.  And he will not even consider talking to anyone or joining any groups.

Are there any groups that I can join for advice?  Can you guys help me?  I am so frustrated, and tired.

Thanks in advance.  I hope that I am not annoying anyone, I am just out of ideas.

You may want to visit a Naranon meeting in your area. Naranon offers support to the families and friends of addicts. Here is a website with a meeting list:
