hey everyone, my name is Sylvia and i am trying to stay sober. my mom wont let me go to NA meetings alone, so i decided i'd look for help online. so is everyone pretty close in here? it kind of seems like it from some of the posts i've read. does anyone do online sponsoring?? so many questions!

Welcome to Miracles In Progress, Sylvia. Glad you found us.

Did you try out the local NA helpline Sylvia for help in going to these meetings? Maybe getting and using some phone numbers of local NA members who could pick you and drop you for a few days would help.

There's a regular online meeting/recovery chat from 10 PM EST here at the MIP chatroom every evening. You can check them out. And also, active participation through sharing and reaching out for support here at this message board has done wonders for my own recovery for a long time now.

Do you have NA literature? You can also add reading NA literature everyday at home as one of your recovery tools. I do know of an online NA group where they have women eSponsors ready to help.

Keep coming back, we all need each other, or better yet, stay with us.

she dosn't want me going with anyone there either cuz one time we both came out and saw someone snorting shit after the meeting was over. she dosnt trust the people there.

i do have one book that they gave me at one of the meetings..its blue. have read a few stories in there i was actually thinking about reading some last night since last night is when i decided i wanted to try and be sober again.

i am for sure going to check out the chatroom possibly tonight or tomorow night. thank you for answering my post.

NA is in the process of updating and approving new liturature right now about youth in recovery and to the parents of the youth.
