I've had a difficult couple of weeks. With someone I know Oding and dying, I think maybe I was even talking myself into relapse; but I picked up the phone and talked to my counsellor and other addicts from my rehab and the 'rooms'; and even though I didn't exactly participate on this site I read what you all had to say daily and the moment passed. And I know there will be other moments... I always hate it when people say they are proud of me for how far I've come and how well I'm doing because, well I'm an addict and I can so easily disappoint, it's the nature of the beast. Anyway...
No new years resolutions for me. I always break 'em. But to all of you, my thanks. You have been there for me, in more ways than you know. May whatever God you belive in and pray to look over you and yours in the coming year. Blessings from an addict in Botswana

Thanks Tahir,, yes ,, I did get in a great set,,thank God and all yers encouragements !! Boy was the alcohol flowing,,many varieties !! Miracle is I never felt any urge,,,I dinte evn thin bout it at all,, basically its about the people,I played their music,joked and vibed with them and tried as best as could so theyll have a great New Year party !! Im amazd at how many good people i encounter in daily living,, but only another addict will understand what an obsessio is and only another NA member will identify with the urge to stay clean and serene !! Man what a wonderful world we live in, thanks wantneeda !! lovely prayer,,and know what ? i was changin the picture on my profile and many times your photo came in,,, i didnt understand why !! You are a lovely lady and deserve to be very happy !! God Bless us all !!!
