Hi Focusing and Welcome to Miracles in Progress NA :)

I can agree that it might be difficult to attend NA meetings where some addicts may think marijuana is a pud drug or something like that......I don't cuz I used it for so many years....

There are Marijuana Anonymous programs and here is one page:

You might find what you need right there; the steps are the same but it's all focused on marijuana and I'm sure you might just find what you are looking for there.

You can google..... marijuana anonymous like I did and find meeting locators as well as other things. I hope this helps you in your recovery my friend....and believe me, we are all right here for you too.

I make no judgments on what drugs were used by whom, just in what you want to do about your problem with them :) You've earned your chair in NA no matter what you think others may think of that.....I think you have :)

Welcome Focusing. I agree that sometimes you need that atmosphere of identification over that particular issue that you're dealing with in your life...

I like what our NA bulletins say on this, "NA is one solution, not the only solution." and also what a member once shared, "NA is not for those who need this program, it is for those who want this program."

I used Marijuana for over 15 years too, everyday, apart from other drugs that kept changing from time to time. But Marijuana was on 24/7, and the damage that smoking weed has done to me, I don't think any other drugs I used did

I'm still sick mentally, emotionally and socially because of smoking weed.

I love what every 12-step fellowship practises, that single point of focus and recovery from it without diluting the message or the atmosphere of identification for the individual members. I respect each of them as I realize that AA or OA or GA for the members is no different than what is NA to me, and I have benefitted immensely from a few of these other fellowships with a few outside issues for which NA was not meant to be the solution... I can work the Steps of NA on outside issues too, no doubt about it, but I cannot get the advantage of "WE" on that issue in NA at times...

well, my experience shows that Nas Promise of freedom fommactive addiction has withstood many onslaughts !!
However my part of the deal is to understand two things
1.the only requirement is a desire to stop using,,which means it dosent matter what or how much iused or who my connections were,,,
2.im here for me and the best way to treat myself is stop looking at how they treat me and instead focus on how I treat em !!!
