Hi Family, I would like your opinion on my comments. I have not been using the NA book as much as I should. I am pulling most of it from my own experiences and thoughts which may not be too good. I would appreciate any comments that will help me to improve myself and help others. By the way my feelings don't get hurt.
Kenh.

sure takes a load off!! Personally i would much rather hear from your experience, strength and hope..rather than quotes from any book. it gives me strength, it gives me hope. And ' me' i can surely be safe to say is..'we'
i just finished a comment to Juniper bout how.. what others think of me is none of my business. The first time i heard that saying it made me mad >;\ i based everything i did on others opinions most of my life.
by the way...i think you're doing great :) Congrats on 4 months!!!!!!!
Thank you for the nice comments. AHH the pleasant game flattery!!! It is great, I love it. Thanks for the congratulations I really feel that I am on track.
Love and Hugs kenh

We feel that our approach to the disease of addiction is completely realistic, for the therapeutic value of one addict helping another is without parallel. From Chapter Four of the NA Basic Text :) When I first came into the rooms, I felt I had nothing to share but drug stories and how it was....after a time, I was able to share what was working for me and what wasn't. The thing about sharing is someone may hear something that works for them....and we addicts need all the help we can get, ya know?
Take what you like and leave the rest has been a biggie in my personal program while working my way through life on life's terms.
By sharing experience, strength and hope with others is how we lead others to the light and away from the darkness of addiction....that's how I was led :)
Love and Hugs to all.....

I am a master of self deception. I need the literature to guide me and other people call BS on my bright ideas. Even if I am not far of base, what's it hurt to bounce it off the lit or another addict?
Hey literature can be a guiding factor in our recovery, but all we have with us are our own experiences and how we have learned and grown from them. Reading literature can only confirm what we experience when we start living the 12 steps in our lives. Our NA literature is nothing but what we, addicts in NA, have experienced.
