- Dont let your mind wander; its too small to be out on its own.
- Your heads a bad neighborhood. Dont go there on your own.
- Why is an addict alone in bad company? Because he is with the last person he used with.
- Sponsor to a sponsee who is at home alone, thinking about things: Get out as quickly as possible. Youre in the house with a killer!
- Regarding thoughts versus obsession: I cant help it if a bird poops on my head, but I dont have to let it build a nest there.

Im a fortunate NA member,,, Ive been clean longer than I used,,, however this dosent mean I want to isolate or do it on my own,,,, no,,, but i can say honestly Im not afraid to be with me !!! Im not afraid of me,,, especially as the Text warns us=Im not quoting verbatim but the gist of it is that I shouldnt confuse my addiction as part of my real self !!! All in all as long as I acknowledge that many people helped and are still helping in my recovery,,, im feeling great,,, else I get cranky,upset etc,,, setting myself up for trouble !!! Thank God im informed that just for today I never have to use again,,, no matter what !!!!

I alway say " my worst enemy is myself " so I try really hard to stay up out of my own head and its why I depend on my higher power, NA and all of you to direct my life journey.

It is so true, being alone is not too good in the beginning. Getting around people that are clean is good. Being around clean people that would never imagine that you could be a damn drug addict is always a good place to be so that you can know what normal life can and will be like.
