Wendy here.... been a long time, clean and sober today, working on my 7th month.
Went to a birthday meeting last night, 3 birthdays, totallying over 6ooo days clean. Was awesome. Detox center in town goes to that meeting...2 people in the center i know currently, i did the geographical cure thing, moved 45 minutes away last october and i love it. I learned last night that 2 months ago an old room mate overdosed... he is now at the big meeting in the sky, rest his soul. That could of been me.
I'm here today to say I need NA. We only have 2 NA meetings a week in this town so i rely alot on AA. I still go to lots of meetings, probably 5-6 a week. I work alot, 3 jobs currently so the nights there is an NA meeting i'm at work. I go to noon AA meetings 5 days a week... I had last night off of work which allowed me to go to ourNA meeting. Yes i am an alcoholic, yes i am an addict. |So i'm thankful for this message board, I need you guys
So glad to have you back, Wendy, and to hear of the big 7 months of miracles in your life. CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU ROCK!!!
And yes, the worst and most dreadful episodes from my active addiction have been those periods when my choice of drug was alcohol
