Hi family, wow what a bunch of new names on the message board! that's great! So sorry I haven't been around for a while, I have been so busy lattly. I bought a house this week! I'm so excited!!!!! Who would have thought coming from a long family line of welfare recipients I would be a home owner. I'm so proud and grateful. If it were not for NA none of this would be possible. I have become a responsible person thanks to the 12 steps. I have been sharing my story a lot lattly and have had a lot of responses that are the same, they all say wow your very lucky. It's made me think, dam I have never been lucky before in my life. Is it really luck , I dont think so I think I have been blessed. All I did was learn to live my life with spiritual principles and every thing that has happened since is a gift form god.
In the last 2 years I have gone from being unemployable and living in a shelter to being a home owner and getting paid to do what I love most. If that's not a blessing I dont know what is! Once again that line in the text rings true for me, lost dreams awaken , and new possibilities arise! The possibilities are endless if I work the steps!
Thanks Vini, recovery has rocked my world. Not in my wildest dreams did I think it could be this wonderful. Thank god for NA and the 12 steps to freedom!
