Daily Topic for March 1st................

The feeling of love and acceptance we find in the Fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous allows us to begin recovering from our addiction. We learn a new way to live.                                                                                           It Works: How and Why                                                                                                 Pg. 15  When I first came in I had a lot of feelings of utter worthlessness and a very low self-esteem. I didn’t understand how anybody could ever like me with all that I had done. I didn’t even like myself. But I didn’t want to die. So I came in and sat meekly in the corner, not expecting a word of kindness from anyone. But during the meeting I got many smiles, and after the meeting I received many hugs.  Though it seemed awkward at first, I began to feel a little more ok with me and a little more welcome at the group. NA has helped my self-esteem grow abundantly and has given me feelings of true worth today. And it is still amazing to me how I as an addict can go to any Narcotics Anonymous group and feel that same love and belonging. This program is awesome in many ways, but one of the best is the unconditional love it provides to so many.
