Urgent need for RI Inpatient rehab for 20yo nephew

Can someone recommend a good inpatient program near Warwick, RI? My nephew has hit yet another bottom. A scary one, he is definitely 'qualified' for inpatient help. And willing...for now. His mom has asked me for help bc I've been clean a while. I don't know the local rehabs near Warwick, RI so I'm asking the boards for help. They have insurance, $ not an issue. The kid is 20, blackout drinker multiple days/week and uses anything he can get his hands on. He is also a cutter. We don't think he's using heroin, but knowing him I'm certain that's a yet for him. I could not find any reviews for local places online. Can you help?

Sorry to have missed your post. You will find that NA doesn't recommend ANY rehabs, to do so would violate are Traditions. Hopefully you can find the help you need from referrals thru help lines.

What I can tell you is this....Rehab's make get him detoxed, and our rooms cam help him recover. BUT he's got to want it himself. No amount of coxing/preaching/ badgering seems to help.

I think I would stsrt with th families insurance compan. When I needed rehab info for my husband several years ago I called our provider. A general CSR got me to the department I needed, I think a crisis worker of some sort who got a nurse involved and she recommended several places and avenues to go down. She was actually quite helpful surprisingly.

Hope they get him some help...detox and the correct meds and treatment for the cutting (a whole other animal) are a wonderful start. NA and other 12 step fellowships once he gets stabilized for long term care. Good luck

Thank you, Queen B. Very helpful info. We needed to know the process. So scary to watch such a beautiful kid being crushed under the weight of this disease. He did finally agree to treatment. He's in a day program while he waits for a bed. Thank you!
