... to Survive or to Thrive!?

.

.....a fairly relevant reading for me today, recently I've been realizing a deep-seated block in my life,,, recovering from an affliction has become my 'normal'.

As a child, it was not uncommon to be dealing with, recovering from one sort of assault or another, it became my 'normal' state as I grew up. Through brutal sports, brutal work, drugs, smoking, etc,,, I have managed to replicate this state of recovering near constantly... to the point that it's feels more natural than a state of wellness.

I'm trying now in my life to allow myself to feel more comfortable with a state of wellness,, where thriving becomes my comfort zone.
Does this experience ring a bell for others? How'd you make the transition??  confuse

Hi Mikah,

I look at the second step, and say something can't restore me to sanity...because I was never sane. I'll always be recovering. It's a comfortable place for me.
